- Cole Croft races to 3rd win of Placerville season on Kings Meats Night
Placerville, CA…Fourteen-year-old Cole Croft continued his fantastic rookie season by racing to his third Sprint Car victory of the Placerville Speedway campaign during Kings Meats Burger Night on Saturday. Fellow winners at the event were Ray Trimble with the Kings Meats Ltd. Late Models, Ryan Peter with the Red Hawk Casino Pure Stocks and Dakota Albright with the BCRA Lightning Sprints. All four victors took home a loaded box of meat thanks to Kings Meats. The 30-lap Thompson's Family of Dealerships Winged 360 Sprint Car feature saw Croft jump to the lead ahead of Jake Morgan and Dominic Gorden. The action was fast and furious in the main event and Croft led the way with Gorden soon challenging him following a lap eight restart. Gorden carved his way to the lead on lap 10, only to have Croft come back at him on lap 11 to grab the point right back. The pair battled for the win two weeks ago and once again put on a show for the fans in the stands. Gorden hounded the leader until suffering a flat tire that ended his shot at winning. After this Sacramento's Austin Wood then became the opponent for Croft as he closed in towards the end of the race. Wood methodically worked his way forward and looked to pounce for an opportunity to take home the loaded box of Kings Meat. Croft did what he needed to do, however, and fended off Wood to cross under the Ed Entz checkered flag. Chance Grasty, Justyn Cox and Shane Hopkins rounded out the top five. Filling out the top 10 were Landon Henry, Kenny Wanderstadt, Dawson Hammes, ADCO Driveline Fast Qualifier Andy Forsberg and Carson Hammes. With his third career Winged 360 win at the track Croft ties Dominic Gorden, Dylan Bloomfield, Landon Brooks, Dan Belton, Don Hanson, Rick Hays, Darrell Arnold, Bobby McMahan, Brent Kaeding, Tim Kaeding, Chuck Gurney Jr., Kyle Larson, Cory Eliason and Alan Bradway on the all-time list. Auburn's Ray Trimble withstood the relentless challengers from Matt Davis to become the second driver to reach 30 career wins with the Kings Meats Ltd. Late Models. He is now just four wins shy of tying Ryan McDaniel for the most all-time in Placerville Speedway history. Tyler Lightfoott and Adam Starkey completed the podium. The Red Hawk Resort + Casino Pure Stocks put forth an entertaining main event once again on Saturday. Kenny Bernstein the way early until Ryan Peter was able to charge by the grab the top spot. Oakley's Nick Baldwin eventually worked his way into second and hounded Peter over the final 10 laps. The seven-time track champion gave the leader everything he could handle but Peter hung tough and brought home his seventh career Placerville win. Wayne Trimble, Tyler Lightfoot and Bernstein finished third, fourth and fifth respectively. With the BCRA Lightning Sprints it was championship drivers Greg Dennett and Dakota Albright who battled up front. Dennett led early but Albright took command on lap nine and led the remaining distance for the King of the Non-Wing victory. Point leader Matt Land, Harlee Aguilera and Jason Schostag rounded out the top five. - Gunns Promotional Prowess Remembered At Williams Grove Friday
Mechanicsburg - For the 44th season in a row, Williams Grove Speedway will honor one of the finest showman and promoters the East has ever known on Friday night when "Tires" on Netflix presents the Jack Gunn Memorial for 410 sprint cars. First run in 1983, the Gunn Memorial honors late Williams Grove promoter Jack Gunn, a native of Hancock, Maryland. The 2026 event will be the 44th annual Gunn Memorial and the winner's list is impressive to say the least. Bobby Allen was the first winner in 1983 with additional names on the win list like Frankie Kerr, Jason Johnson, Lance Dewease, Greg Hodnett, Fred Rahmer, Daryn Pittman, Keith Kauffman and many others. However no driver has claimed more Gunn Memorials over the years than the now retired Don Kreitz Jr. who owns seven. Jack Gunn was a Hall of Fame Promoter who heralded the speedway as promoter from 1967 until his untimely death from cancer at the age of 48 in 1980. He began working at the track during the early 1960s as an announcer and honed his skill on the microphone while eventually relaying his talents into the oval's captain. It was during his tenure at the helm of Williams Grove Speedway that Gunn rose to prominence on the local and national scene and he took the facility with him. During his career at Williams Grove, Gunn also promoted with much success at other area tracks. Gunn's mark on both Williams Grove and the region itself was to help raise sprint car racing to not only a weekly division but a premiere weekly headline division at that. With his hand guiding them, Gunn first lured and then brought the likes of Jan Opperman, Bobby Allen, Steve Smith and more to the area to race, make a living and ultimately to make a home in this rich racing region. Gunn was feted nationally as 1979 Promoter of the Year. While at the top of his game, he not only stood at the helm at both Williams Grove and Selinsgrove Speedways, but he was also doing the job at Hagerstown, (Maryland) and Penn National Speedways. In his day, Jack Gunn was known as the most powerful promoter in the East. And it is that reputation and skill that Williams Grove Speedway will honor yet again this week with the running of the Jack Gunn Memorial. Gates will open at 5:30 pm with action getting underway at 7:30 pm. Adult general admission is set at $30 with youth ages 13 - 20 admitted for just $10. Kids ages 12 and under are always admitted for FREE at Williams Grove Speedway. - Ebert Breaks Through with Topless 100 Triumph
LOCUST GROVE, AR (August 15, 2026) - Dan Ebert picked a great time to earn the first Super Late Model victory of his career, as the Lake Shore, Minnesota, driver won the 34th Annual Ace Doran Hauling and Rigging Topless 100 Presented by Big River Steel on Saturday night at Batesville Motor Speedway. The former snowmobile and open-wheel modified standout, who is in just his second year of Super Late Model competition, became the 18th different winner of the crown jewel event, which began in 1993. Ebert took home $50,000 and also earned his first Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series victory. Ebert also entered the event as a Steering Buddy Darkhorse, making his breakthrough victory even more notable. The label proved fitting on Saturday night as Ebert emerged from a deep field of established stars to capture one of dirt late model racing's marquee events. Ebert crossed the finish line 4.984 seconds ahead of two-time Topless 100 winners Dale McDowell and Jonathan Davenport. Clay Stuckey earned his best career finish in a crown jewel event with a fourth-place run, while Brandon Sheppard rounded out the top five. Ricky Thornton Jr. fired from the pole and led the first 52 laps virtually unchallenged despite several restarts. The car on the move was last week's Sunoco Race Fuels North-South 100 champion, Josh Rice, who came from 22nd to second in his first Topless 100. Rice hounded Thornton for the lead before taking the top spot on lap 53. Rice then extended his lead to more than four seconds over Thornton before a caution came out on lap 58. On the restart, Thornton retook the lead from Rice, but it was short-lived as Rice stormed back past Thornton on lap 60. Rice then looked like the car to beat, leading through lap 88 before misfortune struck. As he exited turn four to complete lap 89, his right-rear tire went down, forcing a caution. On the lap-89 restart, Ebert, who had been running second to Rice after pitting during a caution on lap 38, inherited the lead and paced the final 12 laps to score the stunning victory. "This is unbelievable, really, to win our first Super Late Model race. We won that dash last week (at Florence), and we have had speed here. To win one of the biggest, hardest races to win is unbelievable. I am just speechless. It's just incredible, the crowd here. You know, we ran good here last year, and I just had a good feel for it, and we built on the setups since then," said Ebert, who led the final 12 laps of the race. "It's just so hard to know, particularly with all the tire trouble that was happening yesterday. It's just kind of the luck of it, honestly. You know, I tried to be as nice as I could and not slide, but we ended up having a tire go down, which probably was a blessing because we probably had something to race with at the end. I was just able to get the middle groove working on some of those restarts. It was a little touchy for sure. This is just unbelievable. This is just crazy. I am just speechless to be where I am for a year and a half, basically, driving a Super Late Model. I have come a long way. James Trantina, my car owner, took a chance on me and my team. A lot of blood and tears went into this." McDowell, who brought out the first caution of the race with 15 laps scored when his car ended up on the Jersey barrier in turn four, rallied through the field to finish second and earn $20,000. "We had some right-rear tire left. I had a right-front tire flat, so it started to get a little wheel spin down the straightaway. We were maybe one of the only ones who didn't pit. I was trying to be conservative on tires, and when I wheel-spun, Dan got by me. But those guys pitted about lap 34 or 35, I think, so they just had a little better tire. It was a good run for us. I got into trouble there early on. I got all boxed up and turned around. I was just being patient, and I was just racing my way back up through there. The car was really good in the middle, so I knew I really wasn't hurting tires as bad." Davenport, the 2025 winner, was looking to become the first driver to win the Topless 100 in back-to-back years. Several drivers have tried to accomplish the feat over the history of the event, but the streak will continue into 2027. "We just played the cards we were dealt there. I felt like we had a really good car there, thanks to my team. They did an excellent job battling through the heat, and especially thanks to these fans. It's tough sitting out there in the sun. I felt like I was really patient and that we had a car that could win. I was just kind of easing around there at the beginning and making sure I didn't go too hard. I didn't run the top much, really. I think I went there one time because I pushed up there. It's just a part of Batesville with the tires, you know. It's bit a lot of people, and some it hasn't." The winning James Trantina-owned Rocket Chassis is powered by a Durham Racing Engine and sponsored by Collins Brothers Towing of St. Cloud, Minnesota, Truck Headquarters, AMSOIL, Christiansen Group Insurance, Shaw Trucking, Fuel Factory, and Fox Shocks. Completing the top ten were Ricky Thornton Jr., Hudson O'Neal, Chris Ferguson, Brenden Smith, and Brandon Overton. - Tim Buckwalter holds off Louden Reimert for second win Modified win this season in Big Diamond Speedway
(Minersville, PA 8-14-26) Throughout the season at Big Diamond Speedway Tim Buckwalter of Douglasville has continually displayed amazing speed and swiftness in the BQ Concrete 358 Modifieds, but as good as he's been, there's also been frustration in the fact that five of his nine top-5 finishes have been in the runnerup spot and only one win to show. On Friday evening at the popular Schuylkill County dirt oval Buckwalter found himself again racing near the front and as you can imagine, in second place. First it was against Kevin Beach Jr., and then over the second half of the 25-lap contest he was clinging to the lead and having to withstand the offensive being thrown at him by point leader Louden Reimert. Buckwalter though wasn't about to settle for another second place tally as he strategically held Reimert at bay and parked the Donna and Dennis Weller owned No. 942 in Victory Lane for a well-earned second win of 2026. "I just kept thinking to myself anything but second again and hats off to the Weller family for what they give me because we were struggling here the last month and a half and they stick with me," said Buckwalter. "I have to give my hats off to Ed Hefline too, he's my crew chief and he worked his butt off this week changing things around and the whole crew, without them guys I wouldn't be standing here. It's been an incredible season, and we couldn't do it without all my guys, it takes a good crew to be able to do this as many times as we do and I am very lucky to have them." At the outset Heath Metzger got the jump over pole sitter McKenzi Smith to lead the opening circuit ahead of Beach and Rick Laubach. The next time around a strong running Beach sped past Metzger for the lead while eighth starting Buckwalter was making haste, motoring his way to second by lap three. Fans were not only being indulged to the extremely close action with Beach and Buckwalter but right in their path it was just as thrilling a battle being waged amongst Laubach, Metzger, Reimert and Mike Lisowski. Buckwalter had several opportunities to surpass Beach on restarts. Each time, however, Beach chose the outside lane and successfully held him off. Reimert then worked his way into third, turning the contest into a three-car fight for the lead. With 12 laps remaining, a caution reset the field and on that restart, Buckwalter finally got the better of Beach to take the lead, while Reimert moved into second and from then on it was a nip and tuck dogfight for the top spot. Racing several times side-by-side and with the laps winding down, Buckwalter realized his best form of defense would be to protect the bottom, and he instinctively went from the outside and took his fight to the low lane which enabled him to hold strong and secure the win. "Louden (Reimert) ran me clean and then we had to worry about the lapped traffic too. I just couldn't get off the bottom like he did and once I got to the lead I kept trying the top and I saw him and I said to myself just slow it down and make him go around you on the outside," explained Buckwalter. "Jake (Smulley) did an awesome job with the track tonight and there was two-wide racing. We came from eighth and Louden came from ninth and the passes are there, you just have to use the track that he gives you." Beach held off Laubach for third. After having to pit for a flat tire early in the going, Jax Yohn put on a crowd pleasing drive coming through the pack and rounded out the top five. In the USS Achey Inc. 602 Crate Sportsman Nanticoke's Nick Hamm was gifted the lead after two aborted tries on the initial start got called back and the then front row of Jim O'Hara and Reice Widger where set back for jumping to soon. And Hamm would make the best of his newly awarded prize as he never wavered leading all the distance for his first win of the year. While Hamm had the reins of the lead well in hand, things were increasingly close behind him. Brennan Chapman made a valiant effort to stay within reach of Hamm, and he then had the resist the challenges of the division's hottest driver, point leader Ryan Graver. Widger also stayed in the hunt too and had been mixing it up with Chapman and Graver before having to hold off Dakota Kohler in completing the top five. The River Valley Builders PASS 305 Sprint Cars made their lone Big Diamond Speedway appearance of the season and authoring a dominating run was Ken Duke Jr., of Selinsgrove who led wire-to-wire. For Duke, who is the PASS points leader, it was his first victory at the track. Mike Alleman was second although he proved no match for Duke who outclassed the field en route to the victory. In the Big Creek Concrete Rookie 602 Crate Sportsman feature Gage Phillips Jr., of Fleetwood made his debut at the track one he won't soon forget as he raced to victory. Gage started on the pole and led the first four laps but then yielded the top spot to Josh Metzler following a restart on that same tour. Gage then returned the favor in the same manner on a lap nine re-go and there was no looking back from there as he drove on to the memorable verdict. 358 Modified finish (25 laps): 1. - Blair and Thornton Take Topless 100 Prelim Wins
LOCUST GROVE, AR (August 14, 2026) - Max Blair and Ricky Thornton Jr. each won their respective 25-lap preliminary feature Friday night during the opening night of the 34th Annual Ace Doran Hauling and Rigging Topless 100 Presented by Big River Steel. Blair captured the opening 25-lap event, worth $5,000, leading Carson Ferguson, Charlie Cole, Brenden Smith and Dale McDowell across the finish line for his second Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series win of the season. Thornton took the second 25-lap event for his fifth series win of the year. Hudson O'Neal, who started 12th, finished second, followed by defending Topless 100 winner Jonathan Davenport, Brandon Overton and Ethan Dotson. Chris Ferguson bolted to the lead at the start of the first feature, leading the first two laps in his first-ever visit to the track. Devin Moran, the defending series champion, then raced past Ferguson for the top spot on lap three. Moran built a sizable lead over the field until he slowed on lap 21 with a flat tire. Blair inherited the race lead and stayed out front for the final five laps to pick up his third career LOLMDS victory. "It was crazy for sure. When I got to third, I was just trying to pace myself and not kill my tires too bad, and I was just hoping I had saved enough there for the end. I want to apologize to Dale (McDowell). He is one of my idols, and I definitely got into him on that restart. I don't know if he spun his tires, and I don't know exactly what happened, but he didn't go like I anticipated. I owe him a big apology either way. No excuses, it was my bad. It's just different than the stuff I grew up on, so I can't believe we really just won. We obviously had a lot of fortune to help us out." Carson Ferguson was in the thick of things for the entire first feature and came home in the runner-up spot behind Blair. "The track kind of threw us a curveball. We couldn't keep the nose out of the racetrack all night. I was just real tight on entry. I'd say we were scared to tighten up. We were just too free when we landed in the corner, and we just had to shear it. It was a good first night, though. Obviously, things went our way and we didn't have a flat. Congratulations to Max; he was good all race. I felt like we could kind of get going, but I had to slow down too much that first lap. Like I said, we were just a little too much around the bottom for what I needed." Charlie Cole recorded the best finish of his career in LOLMDS competition, rounding out the Big River Steel Podium in third for the Arkansas veteran. "We are here to have fun, but we can get it done when we need to. When the track is in our favor, when it slows down and gets slick, I think I can get around it as good as anyone. The car was really good. I didn't have any power steering the last ten laps, and I don't know if I couldn't have won it if that didn't happen. It was that good. I haven't had a race car that good in a long time. I am really happy. That was cool." Blair's Centerline Motorsports, Longhorn Chassis is powered by a Clements Racing Engine and sponsored by Riggs Fiber, Virgilie Iron and Steel, Creekside Auto Sales, Murphy's Logging, C&J Dairy, Upstate Auto Group, Andy's Towing, Tavern 618, Gable Inn, Lakeside Auto Body, Bish Heating and Cooling, and Willy's World. Completing the top ten in the first feature were Terry Phillips, Clay Stuckey, Devin Moran, Brandon Sheppard, and Brian Rickman. Dane Ebert jumped to the lead at the start of the nightcap feature, looking to complete a clean sweep after setting the overall fastest time and winning his heat race. He was also seeking his first career Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series feature win. Ebert looked strong while leading the first eight laps and held more than a one-second advantage over Ricky Thornton when he suffered a flat tire on lap nine. The issue handed the lead to Thornton as Ebert pitted for a new tire. With Thornton out front, a tight battle for second developed between Jonathan Davenport, who started 10th, and Hudson O'Neal. The two went back and forth for the runner-up spot, with O'Neal finally clearing Davenport on lap 17. Thornton was able to breathe easier after a lapped car cleared his path in the waning laps, and he took the checkered flag by 1.004 seconds. In Wieland Victory Lane for the 61st time in his career, the Chandler, Arizona, native set his sights on his first career Topless 100 victory Saturday night. "I feel like I have won a bunch of prelims, but we've never been able to win the Topless. I really didn't know what I needed to do there. I felt like the top was slowing down, which usually means it starts to rubber down from the middle to the bottom. I moved down and got tight. I really didn't know if I wanted JD to be second or Hud to be second. I knew both of them passed a good amount of cars to get to second. I figured their stuff was pretty good; otherwise, I didn't know what to do. Every time I get here, I am too tight on entry and it kind of kills us. When I stayed free there, I was okay, but it kind of hurt me in other spots. Pretty awesome to see Max win as well. Hopefully tomorrow goes well for us." O'Neal, who won the Topless 100 in 2021 and will be looking for the $50,000 payday Saturday night, finished in the runner-up spot to Thornton. "I felt really good. I was able to drive up through there. I had a couple of breaks with some people getting flats, but I felt like we were pretty competitive there at the end in the last few laps. I think Ricky started getting a little tight, and we were able to kind of come back to him just a little bit. But when JD threw that slider on me, I knew his car was pretty good and maybe a little better than mine. I was just fortunate enough that it was starting to clean up down there, and I could steer hard and come back down the racetrack and not lose any grip and drive back by him. So, yeah, we have had a past of throwing some sliders here at this place." Davenport, who won last year's Topless 100 for the second time, will try to become the first driver in the event's 34-year history to win it in back-to-back years. He rounded out the Big River Steel Podium in third in the second 25-lapper. "We made what could have been a bad situation into something good there. I felt like we had a pretty good car. We would have liked to run more green-flag laps, but it just wasn't in the cards tonight. There were a lot of flat tires. It's just part of it, really. I never really ran the top in the heat race and had a flat, but like I said, we rebounded and passed a lot of cars. I felt like we had pace with Ricky there, especially before the leader (Ebert) had a flat. We've got a few tweaks to make to the car, but I think we will be okay." Thornton's Koehler Motorsports, Longhorn Chassis is powered by a Cornett Racing Engine and sponsored by Hoker Trucking, Knight's Companies, Capital Waste, Coltman Farms Racing, Certified Inspection Services, Elite Ready Mix, Strange Oval, SI Towing and Recovery, Sunoco Race Fuels, and D&E Outside Services. Completing the top ten in the second feature were Clay Harris, Kyle Beard, Dane Ebert, Brody Smith and Cam Harris. - After Vacation, Eddie Tafoya Jr. Continues Sprint Car Season Saturday at Perris
Chino Hills, CA — August 13, 2026 — Fresh off a relaxing vacation, newly turned 29-year-old Eddie Tafoya Jr. returns to the cockpit this Saturday, August 15, when Heimark Distributors presents the Avanti Windows and Doors USAC/CRA Sprint Cars at Perris Auto Speedway. Tafoya, who lives in Chino Hills, California, is enjoying the best 410 sprint car season of his career. After soaking up the sun in Bali with friends, the well-rested driver will climb back into his sharp-looking #51T for the first time since finishing third at Perris on July 11. That podium matched his third-place finishes at Mohave Valley Raceway on February 28 and Perris' prestigious Salute to Indy on Memorial Day weekend. Saturday will be the 11th start of the season for the 2018 PAS Young Guns champion and 2019 USAC/CRA Rookie of the Year. It will also be his eighth appearance with USAC/CRA. He has made two starts with the Ultimate Sprint Car Series. They came on back to back nights in Las Vegas and he finished sixth at each race on the big "Sin City" oval in March. Consistency has been Tafoya's calling card in 2026. His only finish outside the top six came at Perris on June 20, when an early flat tire sent him to the rear. He charged back through the field to finish seventh. Overall, Tafoya has recorded six top-five finishes with USAC/CRA, including his three podium performances. Despite not chasing the full schedule or the championship, he has climbed to eighth in the USAC/CRA standings. His July third-place finish lowered his season main-event finishing average to an impressive 4.90. At Perris, his average is 4.50. Fans heading to Saturday's race can enter when the spectator gates open at 5:00 p.m., with the first green flag at 7:00. Adult tickets are $30, seniors 65 and over are $25, students ages 13-17 with school ID are $15, kids 6-12 are $10, and children 5 and under are free. Active military with proper ID are $5. Parking is $20 and parking is payable by card only. Perris Auto Speedway is located on the Lake Perris Fairgrounds at 18700 Lake Perris Drive in Perris. - Brody Roa Back in Action at Perris Auto Speedway Saturday
Cypress, CA — August 12, 2026 — Good news for Southern California sprint car fans. Brody Roa picked up his repaired engine from Shaver Specialties on Monday, installed it in his familiar green #91R and will be back in action when Heimark Distributors presents the Avanti Windows and Doors USAC/CRA Sprint Cars at Perris Auto Speedway this Saturday, August 15. "The Pride of Garden Grove" got a late start to his 2026 sprint car season, making his first appearance when he finished second in the Salute to Indy at Perris on Memorial Day weekend. Four weeks later, he went one spot better with a convincing victory on the Riverside County half-mile. Three weeks after his win, the 2023 USAC/CRA champion returned to Perris and laid down a sizzling 16.997 on his first qualifying lap. That ended up being the third quickest of the night. Unfortunately, he slowed dramatically coming off turn two on his second lap and headed back to the pits. His night was over. The problem was eventually traced to failed rocker arm bolts that knocked several pushrods out of position. Roa took the engine to Shaver Specialties in Torrance hoping the damage was not severe enough to keep him out of this Saturday's race. He got the news he wanted when he picked it up on Monday. While qualifying has not traditionally been Roa's strongest suit, he has been exceptionally quick this season. In three appearances, he has qualified second once and third two times. After Saturday, the "softball dad" plans on returning to his favorite California track, Calistoga Speedway, for the USAC/CRA Labor Day weekend shows. The trip to the "Wine Country" also gives him a chance to enjoy great family time with his wife Tailor and their two young daughters. "It has been a long time and that is my favorite track on the West Coast," Roa said about Calistoga last month. "It is big, and extremely fast. I like that stuff; it is just kind of my style. I am excited to get back up there." Roa and the team are also seeking additional sponsorship to help make the Calistoga trip possible. "If anybody is interested, the side of the hood is wide open for a primary sponsor. They can jump on for a night or for a bunch of races. It is kind of wide open for anyone who wants to be a part of a winning race team." Anyone interested in joining Roa's friendly team as a sponsor for Calistoga or any of the remaining Perris races this season can use the contact information below. The following marketing partners have backed Roa for the 2026 campaign. ALR Virtual Services, Biker Bruce, Caltrol, Innovative Sewer Scope and Plumbing, Big Chino Ranch, Molecule, Shaver Racing Engines, Barnes Pumps, and Specialized Coatings. - Arenz tames Wilmot for second 2026 win
(PEDAL DOWN PROMOTIONS) August 12, 2026 - After claiming his first Bumper to Bumper Interstate Racing Association triumph of the 2026 campaign in his most recent outing, Travis Arenz celebrated his second A-main victory in the span of 13 days in a non-sanctioned open 410 Sprint Car event at Wilmot Raceway in Wilmot, Wis. on Saturday, Aug. 8. Arenz, who earned his first IRA win of the season at Angell Park Speedway in Sun Prairie, Wis. on Sunday, July 26, opened the night at Wilmot by topping the 14-car field with a fast lap of 12.594 seconds in qualifying. After lining up on the pole of the first eight-lap heat race, the Sheboygan Falls, Wis. driver placed second to gain the pole in the four-lap dash, which set the front two rows of the main event. Arenz placed second in the dash to earn the outside front row starting spot in the 20-lap main event. The two-time Midwest Sprint Car Association and Plymouth Dirt Track Racing 360 Sprint Car champion trailed race leader Clayton Rossmann in the early going before storming into the lead on lap 6. Once out front, the current IRA point leader never looked back on the way to his second A-main victory of the 2026 season and sixth career 410 Sprint Car win in the caution-free race. It also marked the 76th overall A-main victory of Arenz's 19-season career spanning competition in the Outlaw Compact four-cylinder, Sport Mod, 360 Sprint Car and 410 Sprint Car divisions. "Overall, I'm pleased with the outcome," Arenz said. "With it not being a points night, I was able to try things that I normally wouldn't. With the IRA being there in a couple of weeks, I wanted to see if the car worked with different setups than I have run in the past there and stay on top of my program. Typically, I have pretty decent results at Wilmot, but I always want to be better. We are now in the later point of the schedule, and with currently leading the point standings, it is crucial to have consistent finishes and be the best I can." After a weekend off, Arenz will resume Bumper to Bumper Interstate Racing Association action at Wilmot Raceway in Wilmot, Wis. on Saturday, Aug. 22 for the annual Kenosha County Fair night race before returning to Angell Park Speedway in Sun Prairie, Wis. on Sunday, Aug. 23 for the annual Corn Fest event.
