- Post makes progress in Plymouth 360 Sprint Car action
(PEDAL DOWN PROMOTIONS) June 2, 2026 - Randy Post took another step forward in working his way back into regular Akright Auto Plymouth Dirt Track Racing 360 Sprint Car competition by registering a solid effort at The Plymouth Dirt Track in Plymouth, Wis., on Saturday, May 30. In his second start of the 2026 season and just his fourth since the end of the 2024 season, Post opened the night by qualifying 19th overall in the 30-car PDTR 360 Sprint Car field with a lap of 13.584 seconds. After placing seventh in the second eight-lap heat race, Post started 11th in the 12-lap B main needing a top-six finish to advance to the 25-lap main event. Post dodged several mishaps throughout an eventful B main, including four caution flags, to finish sixth and earn the 22nd starting spot in the A main. The fifth-year Sprint Car racer stayed clean throughout the 25-lap main event to register a 17th-place showing. "I am enjoying the total amount of laps we are able to turn in a night right now," Post Said. "After being out of it for a while, it is definitely helping me recondition myself to the car, and we have been trying some things, and most of them are not working. "But, with the help of 'Uncle Paul' Pokorski, I think we finally found an issue I have been chasing for a few years," he said. "I didn't change anything on the car from qualifying to feature. Paul finally found something that made the feature feel so much better. I am definitely looking forward to expanding on what we can do from here." Post is planning to compete at The Plymouth Dirt Track this Saturday, June 6, when the PDTR 360 Sprint Cars compete in support of the NOS Energy Drink World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series. Outstanding and piping hot pizza, lasagna, freshly made salads and much more are offered at the Pizza Factory. This Saturday is also our way to remember former track Promoter John Padjen, who passed away in December of 2021. It was Padjen's idea that brought about Kids Bike Night, which continues to be a mainstay at Placerville Speedway. "John always had Kids Bike Night at West Capital Raceway, so he decided to bring that over to Placerville and Chico when he started running both venues," said past Placerville Speedway Promoter Alan Padjen. "The bike nights have always been a hit with the families. It's great that Placerville Speedway continues that tradition and it's a perfect event to remember my dad at." In the early 1980's, John Padjen came aboard Placerville Speedway to help rescue the community icon that was beginning to struggle in the way of management efforts. Already a successful motorsports promoter in Sacramento, Dixon and Chico, Padjen moved in and helped mold the foothill race facility into the successful, competitive track it is today. Padjen established a consistent Saturday night program to improve safety and visibility for both drivers and fans. Tackling the high banked quarter mile this Saturday will be the Thompson's Family of Dealerships Winged 360 Sprint Cars, the Red Hawk Resort + Casino Pure Stocks, the Mountain Democrat Mini Trucks and BCRA Wingless Lightning Sprints. Tickets and Details: Grandstand seating during John Padjen Kinds Bike Night will be General Admission this Saturday June 6th, apart from the reserved seats allocated to season ticket holders that are marked. - Over $21K Purse Awaits GLSS During Ron Kahle Memorial Friday at Limaland Motorsports Park
Lima, OH - Last week, officials from the Great Lakes Super Sprints Presented by PERFIT & ARP (GLSS), in conjunction with Limaland Motorsports Park, announced that the Ron Kahle, Jr Memorial/K&L Ready Mix Clash on Friday, June 5th, would pay a record-setting $6,000 to win. The benchmark winner's share of the purse had already made the show the richest purse in GLSS history. As of Sunday night, even more sponsors have stepped forward to increase the overall purse to over $21,000 on Friday night. On Friday, May 15th, the GLSS unloaded at Limaland Motorsports Park for what was, at the time, the richest purse in history with a $ 5,000-to-win affair in the Run for the Rabbit. Mason Hannagan grabbed the win, his first, and joined his dad, Randy, on the list of Run for the Rabbit winners. The Run for the Rabbit pulled in over 30 cars looking for a chance at the increased payday. This Friday, it's not just the winner's share that sees an increase. In addition to the $6,000 to win, the race will also pay $600 to start, a nod to the six years since Ron Kahle's passing. Sponsors making the event possible include Ohio Logistics Warehousing & Transportation, Miami Auto Paint & Equipment, Tim Goan's Carpets, Texas Roadhouse of Lima, University of Northwestern Ohio (UNOH), and GreatLakesSprints.TV. Ron Kahle, Jr is credited with being a helping hand for a lot of different things; from motorsports to community, many remember Kahle, Jr for his support. In motorsports, he's remembered as one of Limaland Motorsports Park's biggest supporters. He helped make sure 360 Sprint Car Racing stayed relevant in Northwest Ohio for many years. In the community, a Ron Kahle Jr. Memorial Shelter house was erected at Deters Park in honor of his selfless acts around Putnam County and the surrounding areas. "Ron is deeply missed by so many in the racing community," said Limaland Motorsports Park General Manager Stephanie Swallow. "His contributions to local, regional, and even national racing are still being felt today. We feel so privileged to be able to honor his memory and legacy with the running of the Ron Kahle Jr. Memorial, and are thrilled to have others step up to make it even bigger." The $6,000 to win, $600 to start Ron Kahle, Jr Memorial is Friday, June 5th at Limaland Motorsports Park for the Great Lakes Super Sprints. The event is followed by the one-and-only trip for GLSS to Lawrenceburg Speedway on Saturday, June 6th. Tickets for the Ron Kahle, Jr Memorial will be available at the gate on race day. Fans who can't make the trip can catch all the action LIVE on GreatLakesSprints.TV.
- Brody Roa Shines in Return to Sprint Car Racing With Second-Place Finish in the Salute to Indy
Cypress, CA — May 29, 2026 — In his first sprint car start in more than six months, 2023 USAC/CRA Champion Brody Roa looked anything but rusty when the series visited Perris Auto Speedway for the 73rd running of the Salute to Indy on Memorial Day weekend. The veteran star thrilled the crowd as he rim-rode his way to an impressive second-place finish. Roa's absence from the sprint car wars was caused by something that has plagued many racers in recent months — waiting for engine parts. When the night finally arrived to get back on the track, the 2021 Salute to Indy champion was extremely pleased with the car's performance. He timed in third fastest in qualifying with a lap of 16.887 on the famous Southern California clay oval. For his heat race, the 2019 USAC Southwest Champion and 2016 USAC Western States Sprint Car Champion started fifth and stormed forward to score a convincing victory in the eight-lapper. In the 30-lap main event, Roa rolled off from the outside of the second row. He slipped back to sixth by the completion of the opening circuit but immediately began working his way toward the front. He advanced to fifth on lap three and moved into fourth following a lap-eight restart. After a multi-lap, crowd-pleasing battle for third, Roa finally wrestled the position away. He appeared destined for a third-place finish before catching a break late in the race when the second-place car suffered an engine failure, allowing Roa to move up one more spot and cap his return with a runner-up finish. "I think we just missed it (set up) a little bit in the main event," Roa said after the race. "We put something on the car that we tried a couple of years ago, but it did not make the grip I thought it would." "It was good to shake the rust off. Heat race win and second in the main, can't complain much about that. Hopefully, we can come out next month and knock off a win. The track was a ton of fun tonight. I love it when it is on the wall like that. Lots of new people involved with the team and room on the car for anybody else who wants to be involved in a sprint car team." Roa will now enjoy three weeks away from competition before climbing back into the cockpit for the next USAC/CRA Series race at Perris on June 20th. The following marketing partners have backed Roa for the 2026 campaign. ALR Virtual Services, Biker Bruce, Caltrol, Innovative Sewer Scope and Plumbing, Big Chino Ranch, Molecule, Shaver Racing Engines, Barnes Pumps, and Specialized Coatings. - All Stars To Continue 55-Year Williams Grove History Friday - Lynn Paxton Legends Classic Will Pay $8,000 To Win
Mechanicsburg - When the All Stars Circuit of Champions Sprints invade Williams Grove Speedway on June 5 for the second running of the Associated Builders and Contractors Lynn Paxton Legends Classic, the circuit will be carrying on a history at the oval that spans more than 55 years. The 30-lap All Stars main meant to honor late Williams Grove champion and racing historian Lynn Paxton of Dillsburg will pay the winner $8,000 for the victory. The history of All Stars action at Williams Grove dates back to 1970 when Bobbie Adamson trumped the original invaders aboard the Al Hamilton No. 77. Since then a total of 48 main events have been run at Williams Grove under the All Stars banner but it took until 2019 for an All Stars regular to drive to victory at the historic oval. Aaron Reutzel of Clute, Texas, scored that first series win at the track before adding two more to his Grove win total. Kyle Larson took a pair of All Stars wins at the Grove as an independent in 2019 and in 2020. Lance Dewease is the most recent series winner at the speedway having scored a show in 2023 and again last year in the inaugural Lynn Paxton Classic. And the All Stars will gather again to challenge the locals known as the Pennsylvania Posse this Friday night, June 5 for another run at the Paxton Classic. A seven-time track champion, Dewease of Fayetteville has taken more All Stars victories at the track than any other driver in history dating back to 1995 when he scored for the first time over the band at Williams Grove. Dewease enters this week's event with a whopping 11 All Stars Williams Grove wins to his credit. Touring invaders expected to challenge Dewease and company this week at Williams Grove include Bobby Elliott, Leyton Wagner, Cale Thomas, Kalib Henry, Cody Bova, Zane DeVault, Keith Sheaffer Jr., Todd King, Zach Hampton and Logan McCandless. Locals that should be ready to challenge the invaders aside from Dewease will include Chase Dietz, Freddie Rahmer, Cameron Smith, Danny Dietrich, Troy Wagaman Jr. and more. The All Stars race at Williams Grove on June 5 will be one of only two races by the series in Central Pennsylvania this season. The event is part of the 2026 Hoosier Diamond Series and Pa Posse 410 Sprint Series at the oval. Adult general admission for June 5 is $30 with youth ages 13 - 20 admitted for just $15. Kids ages 12 and under are always FREE at Williams Grove Speedway. Keep up with all the latest speedway news and information by visiting the oval's official website at www.williamsgrove.com or by following the track on Facebook, Instagram, Tiktok and X. - Sobotka Wins at Brighton Speedway
By Curtis Berleue (Brighton, ONT) | Zach Sobotka is $2,000 richer after picking up his first Empire Super Sprints win of 2026 on Saturday night in the Transport Benoit Lafleur ESS Canada Tour event at the Brighton Speedway. After starting on the outside pole, Sobotka led early but had to fight back by Jordan Thomas after Thomas got by him during the early stages of the race. Jordan Thomas and Zach Sobotka brought the field to green, with Sobotka getting the early advantage over Thomas. Trevor Years settled into third, with Dillon Paddock just behind him. By lap 6, Paddock was able to make his way around Years to into third, but up front it was still Sobotka setting the pace over Thomas. On lap 11, Thomas was able to get by Sobotka, and he would stay there or the next 10 laps. Thomas wasn't ever able to open a large margin over Sobotka, and with five laps to go Sobotka re-took the lead from Thomas. Sixth-starting Davie Franek has been slowly making his way through the field, and on lap 23 he had worked his way into a podium spot. With two laps to go, he got by Thomas for second, but with just over a one second lead he was unable to catch Sobotka who scored his first win of 2026. "Jordan showed me the bottom there, I felt like it picked up some grip there," said Sobotka in victory lane. "I knew it was going to take some rubber down there, I just really didn't know when. It was good to get the win." Davie Franek would finish second after starting sixth. "The track was excellent, you couldn't ask for anything better," said Franek. "It was slick to a curb up top. Once it got blown off a little bit as the race went on, our car just kept getting better and better." Jordan Thomas rounded out the Ashley Lynn Winery podium for his second third-place finish on the weekend. "When I got to the lead I was kind of judging myself on the lap cars," said Thomas. "I wasn't really gaining on them, and I heard him (Sobotka) on the top. He was carrying momentum and I was just a sitting duck." With 21 cars in the pits, the field was split into three timed hot lap groups. Rifenburg Contracting fast time awards went to Jordan Poirier, Tyeller Powless and Davie Franek. Elab Smokers Boutique heat races were won by Logan Crisafulli, Alex Therrien and Zach Sobotka, while the Donath Motor Worx Dash presented by Advanced Electrical and Communications went to Dale Curran. The next scheduled event for the Empire Super Sprints is Friday June 12th at the Freedom Motorsports Park in Delevan, NY for the Julia Horton Memorial paying $5,000 to win. - Sheridan Picks up ESS Win at Ohsweken
By Curtis Berleue (Ohsweken, ONT) | After taking the lead early, Ohsweken regular Nick Sheridan picked up another Empire Super Sprints win on Friday at the Ohsweken Speedway. The event was the first of the 2026 Transport Benoit Lafleur ESS Canada Tour, and worth $2,000 for his efforts. Ohsweken regulars DJ Christie and Nick Sheridan would bring the field to green, with Sheridan grabbing the lead early on the high side. Christie settled into second with Jordan Thomas hot on his heels. Thomas would slip by Christie on lap two on the bottom, and then immediately returned to the high side. Using the same slider line, Skyler Evans made multiple attempts to get by Christie for third, but Christie was able to tuck back under him each time to hold on to the position. After a quick yellow for Dillon Paddock with a flat tire, Sheridan and Thomas again jumped out to the lead with Christie in third. This time, however, Christie was under fire from Jordan Poirier who had worked his way into fourth from his 10th starting position. Another restart on lap 9 yielded much of the same results, with Sheridan and Thomas out front and Poirier battling Christie for third. Two laps later, Poirier was able to get by Christie and set his sights on Thomas and Sheridan. As he caught lap traffic with only a few laps remaining, Sheridan was able to keep some distance between himself and Thomas to pick up the win. With a late race rally, Cory Turner came out of nowhere to get by Jordan Thomas to finish second, completing a march to the front from his 17th starting position. "It was a tough race, I really didn't think I had the car to win going into the feature to be honest," said Sheridan in victory lane. "I saw how slick it got and I wish I changed some more things going into the feature than I did, we kind of ran out of time." "A few laps in I just trunked the wing and changed some cockpit dials with the shocks and got the car a lot better." Cory Turner picked up the A-Verdi Storage Containers hard charger award on the night, passing 15 cars en-route to a second-place finish. "We were not good when we unloaded, went ninth quick and just buried ourselves in that heat race but we didn't get down on ourselves, we kept working," said Turner. "The track went just the way we like it, no cushion, slick, run through the middle." After running second most of the race, Jordan Thomas came home third rounding out the Ashley Lynn Winery podium. "The Ohsweken locals are definitely putting it to us here the past couple of years," said Thomas. "We're just really turning our program around with motor issues at the beginning of the year, now we've got that all straightened out." 35 cars lined the pits on Friday at Ohsweken, which would split the field into four timed hot lap sessions. Rifenburg Contracting fast time awards went to Matt Farnham, Darren Dryden, Eric Gledhill, and Dylan Westbrook. - Shane Golobic claims 18th SCCT triumph at Davy Thomas Memorial in Placerville
Placerville, CA…Fremont's Shane Golobic took the lead from Nick Parker on lap seven and went on to record his 18th career Elk Grove Ford Sprint Car Challenge Tour win on Saturday at the Davy Thomas Memorial in Placerville. It marked Golobic's first Winged Sprint Car win since March 29, 2025, during the SCCT opener at Placerville Speedway. The driver of the NOS Energy Drink No. 17w took home $6,000 for his efforts. "It's a lot of fun when this place widens out and you can get to racing," Golobic commented on the front stretch. "Nick Parker did a good job early but luckily, I was able to get by him and then set my own pace. Lapped traffic was tough at times with cars side by side. It's very special to win the Davy Race because we really miss him in the pit area." Tucson, Arizona driver Nick Parker jumped out to the lead after winning the High Sierra Industries Dash. He had also taken home a nose wing earlier on thanks to Sellers Race Wings for qualifying 15th overall. Shane Golobic hounded him over the early stages and would pounce on lap seven, grabbing the lead that he never relinquished. Redding's Max Mittry closed a few times in lapped traffic, but Golobic was mistake free and raced off to claim the Ed Entz checkered flag. Mittry crossed the stripe in second to cap off a strong evening. The Redding driver started the night by earning the $1,000 Donna Gomez Fast Time Award. When all was said and done Mittry claimed $3,700 for his efforts at the Davy Thomas Memorial. Last year's Placerville Speedway champion Tony Gomes rounded out the podium after taking Bold Choice Bonus in the Dash. The Modesto resident automatically took the 8 pill for a $500 bonus prior to the Dash draw. Sacramento's Austin Wood and SCCT point leader Justyn Cox rounded out the top five. Gomes and Wood had a thrilling battle for the third spot that had fans on the edge of their seats. Completing the top 10 in the Shop Kyle Larson feature were Parker, Shane Hopkins, Dominic Gorden, Tanner Carrick and Chance Grasty. Carrick brought home the $1,150 Gene Freeman Hard Charger Award for the main event. Colby Copeland grabbed the Cindy Rounds B-main win, while Corbin Rueschenberg won the Rounds Kids Hard Charger Award during the 12-lap contest. Heat race wins were pocketed by Shane Golobic, Nick Parker, Cole Croft and Tony Gomes. The man known as "Little Whit" Shawn Whitney scored yet another Placerville Speedway win on Saturday with the Nor-Cal Dwarf Car Association. Mike Grenert, Ben Wiesz, Mike Reeder and Dan Geil followed him across the line. The Elk Grove Ford Sprint Car Challenge Tour returns to action on Saturday June 13th at Petaluma Speedway. Placerville Speedway is back at it this coming Saturday June 6 for John Padjen Kids Bike Night presented by the Pizza Factory. - LOGAN WAGNER INVADES SHARON FOR THE 1ST TIME & CAPTURES $5500 WESTERN PA SPRINT SPEEDWEEK "FLOYD TREVIS MEMORIAL" VICTORY; GARRETT KRUMMERT DOMINATES BIG-BLOCK MODS FOR $2000; CROWN VICS TO BRAD SHAFFER
(Hartford, OH)...After five straight rain outs, Sharon Speedway was finally able to swing open the gates for the 97th anniversary season opener on a beautiful Saturday as the fans packed the grandstands to watch 84 race cars battle in the three-division program. The "Super Series" event presented by Bala Management on Novus Home Mortgage by Sara Cipriano of Hermitage saw Logan Wagner (Western PA Speedweek for the Hovis Auto & Truck Supply "410" Sprint Cars), Garrett Krummert (Hovis Auto & Truck Supply Big-Block Modifieds), and Brad Shaffer (Gibson Insurance Agency Crown Vics) celebrate in the Hovis Auto & Truck Supply Victory Lane. Five-time Port Royal Speedway track champion, Logan Wagner, had never raced at Sharon prior to Saturday night. With Port Royal off, the central Pennsylvania standout headed west and the decision paid off handsomely. Wagner started ninth, methodically worked his way to the front and passed Henry Malcuit for the lead on lap 27 then led the final laps for the $5,500 payday in the "Floyd Trevis Memorial" for the Hovis Auto & Truck Supply "410" Sprint Cars. Thanks to Krill Recycling for adding $1,000 into the purse with Wagner garnering an additional $500 from the previously posted $5,000 to-win payoff. "It was my dad's (Mike) decision to come out here," revealed the 35-year-old Harrisonville, Pa. standout. "I've been here when my dad raced and watched, but haven't had the pleasure of driving here. Hats off to the Blaney crew. They do a phenomenal job on this race track and it shows. I found a really good lane off turn four where I could hug down and get good drive on the left rear and squatted out. I was able to get by (Carl) Bowser and a couple other guys, and get my tires heated up and really got the car underneath me. I wasn't sure early on if I had enough, but the car really came on late. It's a lot of fun to drive a car when it's that good. I have to thank all of the fans for coming out." After the big 40-car field was whittled down to 24, Keith Sheffer, Jr. and Malcuit led the field to green for the 30-lap feature with Malcuit powering into the early lead over Sheffer, Logan McCandless, Brandon Matus, and Carl Bowser. Matus overtook McCandless for third on lap seven. Lapped traffic allowed Sheffer, who was making his Sharon debut, to close in; however, a caution for John Garvin, Jr. slowed action with 10 laps scored. Malcuit maintained his lead when racing resumed, while Matus slid Sheffer for second on lap 13. Wagner meanwhile was not a factor the first half of the race, but cracked the top five on lap 14 when he passed Cale Thomas. Sheffer continued to back-pedal losing third and fourth to Bowser and Wagner respectively on lap 19. Wagner's march forward continued as he drove under Bowser for third on lap 22 then five laps later stole second from Matus. Wagner quickly tracked down Macluit and was on the leader on lap 26. The duo, who were both looking for their first career Sharon Speedway win, battled side-by-side on lap 27 with Wagner winning out. Malcuit tried to fight back but got into the turn 2 wall and after more contact with the backstretch wall knocked the front end. The event came to a scary halt after Malcuit lost control entering turn three and was drilled by the fourth place car of Thomas. Thankfully both drivers exited their cars on their own power. Prior to the accident, Bowser had passed fellow western Pa. regular, Matus, for third. Bowser then inherited second for the restart, but had nothing for Wagner in the two-lap sprint to the checkered. Wagner crossed the finish line first in his father Mike's #55 sponsored by Saner Brothers/KMM Shorthorns/Mack Magee Motorsports/Carlisle Cement Products/John Ott Racing-sponsored by 1.355 seconds to become the 177th different "410" Sprint Car winner all-time at Sharon. Bowser, who hasn't been victorious at Sharon since 2021, earned $2,300 for runner-up. Matus' third was his best at Sharon since a third on July 29, 2023 and earned $1,700. McCandless was fourth over Jeremy Weaver. Sheffer, an All Star regular, dropped to sixth in his tune-up for the June 13 Ohio Speedweek event. Another central Pa. driver in Billy Dietrich was seventh. After issues prior to the start of the feature that sent him to the work area, Dale Blaney charged from 24th to 8th. Western PA Speedweek points leader, A.J. Flick, who won the Wednesday and Thursday shows, had an off night in ninth as Brandon Spithaler completed the top 10. Greg Wilson went 22nd to 12th to earn the $200 hard charger from Rustler Sales & Service. For the third straight event, Blaney set fast time overall in qualifying with a lap of 14.104 and earned $200 from Knox Bakery. Heat race winners were Sheffer, McCandless, Wagner, and Bowser, while the two last chance B mains went to invaders Jordan Givler and Greg Wilson. Garrett Krummert put on a lights out, dominating performance in the Hovis Auto & Truck Supply Big-Block Modified feature. Krummert went third to first on the opening lap, drove a masterful race through lapped traffic, and took the checkered flag first by a commanding 7.898 seconds in the caution-free 25-lap feature timed in 7:56.566. Krummert earned $2,000 for his victory in the event presented by King Bros. Ready Mix Concrete, King's Sanitary Services, Russ King Racing, and Thermo Supply. "We were pretty good," acknowledged the 38-year-old West Middlesex, Pa. racer. "When they rolled out with the water truck before our feature I was really looking forward to it. When the track is technical and slippery with traction, typically I'm pretty good and like that condition. I didn't know who was behind me. I seen the 20P (Mike Kinney) was in second for a little bit, then I could see on the scoreboard it was 25 (Erick Rudolph) then I saw Ayden (Cipriano). I figured when Ayden got to second he was running the top so I just stayed up there and went where they weren't. I enjoy coming here especially when the track is like this. I think the Sprint Car feature was good too so it was a pretty good show for the fans." Mike Kinney and Austin Eyler led the field to green, but it was Krummert sneaking by both for what would be the winning move on the opening lap. After slipping back to fifth early, New York invader, Erick Rudolph, regained fourth on lap three getting by Cipriano. Rudolph then put a slider on Eyler in turn four to take third on lap six. Rudolph tracked down Kinney and the duo put on a tremendous side-by-side battle from laps 11-14 before Rudolph finally cleared him for runner-up on lap 14. By the time Rudolph got to second, Krummert had an impressive half-lap lead on the three-time "Lou Blaney Memorial" winner. The lead, which at one point was nearly 11 second, would shrink by a few seconds, but Rudolph had his hands full in the closing laps with Cipriano. In fact, Cipriano made an impressive move to take second in heavy lapped traffic on lap 24. Krummert however was checked out into a different zip code in his #29 sponsored by Curtiss-Wright/Colonial Metal Products/DIG Race Products/MD Landscaping/R&B Performance. Despite winning twice last season, Krummert's victory on Saturday night was just the fifth of his career in Big-Block Modified competition at Sharon, but does go along with 11 career RUSH Sportsman Modified victories. Cipriano earned $1,200 for beating out Rudolph for second. Will Thomas III went eighth to fourth in the non-stop feature. Rex King, Jr. was fifth. Jim Rasey was sixth over Brad Rapp. Chas Wolbert captured the $100 Summit Racing Equipment Hard Charger gift card by going 16th to 8th. Eyler dropped to ninth over 63-year-old veteran Dave Murdick in 10th. Rasey, Thomas, and King won the heat races over the 25-car field. Brad Shaffer became the fifth different winner in six Crown Vic features run all-time for the second year division. Shaffer started seventh, passed Ray Gregory on lap four for the lead, and held him off throughout the remainder of the 15-lap Gibson Insurance Agency feature. "I love this track," expressed the 31-year-old New Castle, Pa. driver. "This track is always smooth, always slick, and always a fun time here. Once I took the lead, I knew I had to run because they were coming. I have to thank my mom and dad, all my sponsors, and all the people that help me out to allow me to get here." Shaffer's winning margin in his Gibson Landscaping/Trackside Motors Auto Sales & Service/West Penn Salvage & Restoration-sponsored #26 was by 0.702 seconds over Gregory. Brandon Albert was third over Calvin Clay and Branden Porter. Jason Longwell and his son Coleton won the heat races over the record 19-car field. Coming next Saturday (June 6) will see the return of the RUSH Late Model Touring Series after a four-year absence competing in a $4,000 to-win event presented by Kuhnle Motorsports Park. - Kalib Henry storms to Fremont win; Sebetto completes 305 weekend sweep; Valenti wins wild truck feature
FREMONT, Ohio - Since winning the Fremont Speedway presented by FriendShip Kitchen championship in 2024, California native Kalib Henry calls "The Track That Action Built" home and his favorite Ohio track. He proved it Saturday, May 30, dominating the last half of the feature event to score his eighth career 410 sprint car win on Pub 400/Autokiniton Night. Henry, the 2025 All Star Circuit of Champion titlist, started eighth in the 30-lap feature and took the lead from Zeth Sabo, who led the first 15 laps, on lap 16 and only a couple of cautions, was not deterred in his quest for the win. Sabo finished second with 13th starter Nate Dussel, Trey Jacobs and Craig Mintz rounding out the top five. "Andy (Potter, crew chief) made my job easy. That thing was an absolute beaut to drive. It would go anywhere I wanted. Made a couple of little changes racing with the shock and got the wing back. Thanks to Doc and all the sponsors. Andy and I have been busting our tails and we're on the same page and I'm looking forward to get racing here," said Henry beside his Birchard Financial, Harris Distributing, Pub 400, Running Boxer Farms, C& H Veteran Enterprises, Kleinhotz Electric Machine, Triple J Towing, Valvoline, West River Trailer Sales backed #101. Coupled with Cap Henry dropping out of the feature and his eighth place finish, TJ Michael took over the lead of the Kistler Racing Products/All Pro Aluminum Cylinder Heads Attica Fremont Championship Series presented by the Baumann Auto Group. Bryan Sebetto made it a clean sweep of the weekend for the 305 sprints, taking the lead from Paul Weaver on lap 12 and driving to his 30th career win at Fremont. Sebetto, who won Friday at Attica Raceway Park, not has two wins at Fremont in 2026 and padded his lead in the Real Geese Decoys/Real Capz Attica Fremont Championship Series standings. Seth Schneider had a shot at Sebetto after a caution set up a green, white, checkered finish, but Sebetto hit his marks perfectly for the win over Schneider, Jamie Miller, Weaver and Steve Rando. "This is a testament to just how hard Tony Myers is working on this deal. He's dedicated his life to this race team. He spends so much time working on this race car and deserves all of this success. This means so much to me to have my boys with me this weekend. I didn't come from a racing family. About once a year my dad would bring us here and I told my brother I was going to race here one day and it's pretty cool to be out here winning races," said Sebetto beside his Coastal Cabinet and Flooring, Fremont Fence, Shelluke's Bar, Level Performance, Level Utilities, Nagy Equipment, Dockside Barbershop, Riehl Custom Fabrication, Cutting Edge, Schade, BSE, Overwatch Precision, BRS, Race Ready, Recker Team Howard Hanna Real Estate backed #8. The 20-lap Burmeister Trophy Dirt Truck feature was a dandy as Shawn Valenti and Keith Sorg literally raced side by side from the fourth lap until the end. Sorg lead the opening lap with Steve Miller taking over on lap two and Sorg back to the point on lap three. Valenti inched into the lead for lap 17 with Sorg regaining the top spot a lap later. Valenti edged back out front on the white flag lap and went on to score his 92nd career Fremont win over Sorg, Kent Brewer, Art Howey Jr. and Brad Stuckey. "If fans don't like that one I'm not sure what they would like. My hats off to Keith, he raced me clean. Ninety-second win…as Kyle Busch said you need to enjoy it because you never know when or if the next one will come," said Valenti beside his Craig Miller Trucking, Conrad Transportation, Dave Story Equipment, A Plus Auto Center, Smolders Speed Concepts, Ready Mix Concrete, Holman Drilling, Kuzma Industries, S&S Hauling and Excavating backed #7B.
