- C & D Rigging Summer Nationals History At Williams Grove Dates To 2002 - 24th running is this week
Mechanicsburg -Williams Grove Speedway will host the C & D Rigging Summer Nationals for World of Outlaws and Pennsylvania Posse Sprint Cars coming up this Friday and Saturday night, July 31 and August 1. The Summer Nationals Friday main event will pay the winner $12,000 while Saturday's 30-lap feature will offer up $20,000 for the victory. For the first time in the 24-year history of the Summer Nationals last season, both nights of action fell victim to weather. Current outlaws point leader David Gravel won the most recent edition of the Summer Nationals to be completed back in 2024. At that time, the victory was the 100th of Gravel's career with the outlaws series. The first edition of the current Summer Nationals was a three-day event back in 2002 with a pair of preliminary mains taken by Danny Lasoski and Joey Saldana while local driver Greg Hodentt upended the World of Outlaws for the big score on Saturday driving for the Apple Motorsports stables. At the time, the three-day World of Outlaws show at Williams Grove was billed as the first of its kind since only one other previous three-day stand at the track in history, also billed as a Summer Nationals, took place in August 1984 when Sammy Swindell, Brad Doty and Steve Kinser took wins. World of Outlaws kingpin Donny Schatz took two of three at the track in 2003 with Don Kreitz Jr. taking a preliminary night. The 2004 version saw Lance Dewease and Lasoski split a pair of mains. Another three-day format in 2005 saw Jason Johnson score a popular victory for local owners Jim and Sandy Kline while Paul McMahan scored another prelim with track powerhouse Fred Rahmer taking a raucous victory in the Saturday finale. In 2006 outlaws invaders Terry McCarl, Craig Dollansky and Daryn Pittman swept the three-day affair. Donny Schatz bookended the three-day event with wins in 2007 while local Brian Leppo of Spring Grove was sandwiched in the middle with a win aboard the Swope No. 71 machine. Becoming a two-day event in 2008, outlaws Donny Schatz and Daryn Pittman swept the shows but the following year belonged to local drivers Greg Hodnett in the Kline No. 22 and Cody Darrah with Darrah taking the win in a make-up feature held during National Open weekend in October. The 2010 version was all Pennsylvania Posse as Lance Dewease took night one aboard the Don Owens No. 30C and Hodnett returning for another win for the Kline team. Hodnett struck again in 2011, this time in the Trone Special No. 39, along with outlaw driver Jason Meyers. Just one show was completed in 2012 with Darrah back for another win, this time aboard an outlaws mount owned by Kasey Kahne. Again, one show was completed in 2013 with Schatz again a victor but the pendulum swung the other way again in 2014 when locals Hodnett and Dewease swept the two-day weekend show with Hodnett now driving for Michael Heffner and Dewease aboard the Conduit Connections No. 14. The locals made it back-to-back sweeps of the event in 2015 when Danny Dietrich and Stevie Smith trounced the outlaws. Pittman was back for a win in 2016 with Dewease, now aboard the Kreitz No. 69K, taking the Saturday finale. Local driver Brock Zearfoss piloted the Long No. 58 to the win on night one in 2017 while Greg Hodnett ended up scoring the second feature aboard the Heffner mount albeit as a make up main in late September. Only the first night was completed in 2018 with Dewease returning for a victory, still in the 69K. The 2019 Summer Nationals saw Tim Shaffer pilot the Rudzik No. 49 to the opening night win while Schatz got back to Summer Nationals victory for the first time since 2013. Shane Stewart fended off Anthony Macri to win opening night in 2020 while David Gravel dominated on Saturday to lead flag to flag. In 2021 it was Sheldon Haudenschild and Brent Marks splitting Summer Nationals laurels with Marks scoring the big 20K Saturday finale. Haudenschild's Friday win was the first of his career at Williams Grove. Dewease was back again for a Friday victory in the 69K in 2022 while Saturdays big money win went to outlaws champion Brad Sweet for his elusive first-ever Williams Grove victory. In 2023 outlaws driver Logan Schuchart of nearby Hanover scored one that kept the local fans happy on Friday before independent California driver Rico Abreu walked off with the $20,000 Saturday loot to record his first-ever oval checkers. In 2024, TJ Stutts upended the outlaws in Friday night action also billed as the make-up Morgan Cup held over from May, taking $17,000 for the night one win. Adult general admission for July 31 is $35 with youth ages 13 - 20 admitted for just $15. Saturday finds adult general admission set $40 with youth ages 13 - 20 again admitted for $20. Kids ages 12 and under are always FREE at Williams Grove Speedway. - CAREER 1ST SHARON WIN FOR DYLAN NORRIS IN "410" SPRINTS; JOHN MOLLICK 2-FOR-2 IN RUSH SPRINTS; FATHER-SON DUO OF JASON & COLETON LONGWELL BOTH VICTORIOUS IN CROWN VICS & UMP MODS
(Hartford, OH)…Mother Nature finally gave Sharon Speedway a reprieve with a beautiful Saturday night after battling rain throughout much of the 97th anniversary season. The Bala Management "Super Series" program on Alcon Mechanical & Hovis Auto & Truck Supply Night saw the following drivers celebrate in the Hovis Auto & Truck Supply Victory Lane: Dylan Norris (Hovis "410" Sprint Cars), Coleton Longwell (Hovis UMP Modifieds presented by A&MP Electric), John Mollick (Gibson Insurance Agency RUSH Sprint Cars), and Jason Longwell (Gibson Insurance Agency Crown Vics). It was the first of three Menards Giveaway Nights where three lucky fans won a $500 Menards gift card, a Charbroil gas grill, and a Shark Flexbreeze portable fan. With Lincoln Speedway off on Saturday night, Dylan Norris made the near five-hour tow from South Central Pennsylvania pay off as he put on an impressive performance in the 30-lap Hovis Auto & Truck Supply "410" Sprint Car feature. Norris started seventh, passed Jeremy Weaver on lap 10 for the lead, and then fended off Weaver and finally Brandon Spithaler for the $4,000 victory to become the season's fourth different winner in as many races. "This was a last minute deal to come here when I saw you were racing," revealed the 22-year-old Hanover, Pa. racer. "We're not really equipped to go to Port Royal (Speedway) for their big shows so I figured why not come here. I got a really good start and that made my life a lot easier We've struggled so bad this year and have tried some different stuff the last two weeks to change our program completely. I don't think I've ever finished in the top 10 here so it feels great to get one." Norris gained three spots on the opening to move into fourth before advancing one spots each of the following two laps. Norris would then deny Weaver his first career Sharon win when he made what would be the winning move on the 10th circuit. A great three-car battle ensued for the lead between Norris, Weaver, and Spithaler. Spithaler would finally get by Weaver for good on lap 21 for the runner-up spot. Norris though would hold serve in the final laps crossing the finish line first by 1.042 seconds in his father Shawn Norris' #17 sponsored by Dynatech Controls and SCC Trucking. Norris became the third driver of the season to win his first career Sharon "410" Sprint Car feature and the 179th all-time at the track. "I knew they were coming when I got to traffic," explained Norris. "One guy raced me really hard and I knew my pace was slowing. Sometimes when you're the leader it hurts you. I saw guys in front of me cleaning off the top and I haven't raced here enough to know when to move. I stayed where I was comfortable and once the #5 (Weaver) slid by me, I knew I had to get going. Then after that I settled in and I knew what I had to do." Weaver was third. After going 22nd to 5th on June 27, central Pa. racer, Derek Hauck, was one spot better in fourth on Saturday night. Brandon Matus moved up three positions to finish fifth. Leyton Wagner was sixth. Greg Wilson went 14th to 7th as Carl Bowser, A.J. Flick, and Billy Dietrich completed the top 10. Norris set fast time overall against the 31-car field in qualifying with a lap of 13.289. Heat race winners were Hauck, Matus, Michael Bauer, and Dietrich, while Nash Ely won the last chance B main. Seven drivers made their way from central Pa. to Sharon Speedway to compete in the final tune-up before next Saturday's "Lou Blaney Memorial". Coleton Longwell entered the night as a seven-time winner at Sharon Speedway across three different divisions On Saturday night, Longwell added yet another division to his winning resume as he scored his first career UMP Modified victory at the track. Longwell passed Dustin DeMattia albeit with contact on lap 15 for the $1,000 victory in the 20-lap Hovis Auto & Truck Supply feature presented by A&MP Electric along with support from Holbrook Sewer & Excavating and Wedge Motorsports. "That's really not how I wanted to get my first win in the division," acknowledged the 25-year-old Kinsman, Ohio racer. "There's a little bit of character (in the track). I drove in on the bottom, had a good run going, and hooked my right rear in the hole, and pushed. When I pushed my right front clipped his (DeMattia) left front and it was a disaster. I woah'ed up because I thought there was going to be a caution. I feel terrible for him, but all I can do is apologize and move on." DeMattia, who has five career wins at Sharon between the UMP and Econo Mod divisions, led the first 14 circuits before fourth starting Longwell took over. Once in front, Longwell pulled away from DeMattia over the final six laps and garnered the victory by a comfortable margin of 4.022 seconds in his Bala Management/DBRE/YeagerBaum's Bar & Grill/Yeager's Port Silver-sponsored #7. Like the "410" Sprint Car division, Longwell became the fourth different winner in as many races this season and the third driver to win his first career in the division at the track! Longwell also became the 67th different winner in the division's history. Joel Watson went sixth to third for his best finish of the season. Jeremy Holbrook was fourth over opening night winner, Eric Wilson. Nate Young was sixth. Jeremy Double, who has won both Econo Mod races this season, was seventh as Dennis Lunger, Jr. and Vinnie DePizzo completed the top 10. Watson, Young, and Longwell won the heat races over the 21-car field. John Mollick's dominance in the RUSH Sprint Car division at Sharon continued on Saturday night. Mollick went fifth to first on the opening lap of the 20-lap Gibson Insurance Agency feature and never looked back for his eighth straight victory and 10th in the last 11 races dating back to the 2024 season. "We've been good here and the car has been rotating ," explained the 55-year-old Toronto, Ohio standout. "We've been struggling the last couple races. We haven't put a whole night together and have been a little off, but it's good to come here and pull one off. We just went back to our notebook and here we go." Mollick was unchallenged throughout the event aboard the Scott Clever-owned, Rae Lynn Enterprise/Spring Church Car Wash/Willy's RS Wash & Shine/JET Racing Engines/RV Coleman Trucking/Niki's Quick Six/McFadden Machine-sponsored #4J for his 34th career win overall in the division. Mollick also received a $100 Summit Racing Equipment gift card for being the event's hard charger. Fourteen-year-old second generation racer, Brayden Blackshear, turned in his career best finish in a full-size race car in second. One night after winning his first career feature at Lernerville, Trent Marshall went sixth to third. Wyatt Long was fourth over veteran Arnie Kent. Sixth through 10th were Lucas Roessner, Kevin Kaserman, Grayson Bayle, Devon Deeter, and Bill Cunningham. Marshall and Mollick won the heat races. Jason Longwell, who has competed in numerous divisions over the years, finally captured his first career victory on a night when his son, Coleton, won in his fourth different division! The elder Longwell passed Branden Porter on the final lap to win the 12-lap Gibson Insurance Agency Crown Vic feature, which was worth $400 thanks to a $200 bonus from Alcon Mechanical. "That was a lot of fun," expressed the 51-year-old Burghill, Ohio driver. "These things are a blast to drive. My kid Colton helped me out of lot telling me what to do because I'm getting old. I appreciate everyone coming out and staying. It was a good race. This isn't even my car. I borrowed it and it's actually sold; a guy is taking it tonight and will be racing it soon. We have quite a bit of these cars around the shop and are trying to get more people into it." Longwell started sixth and led for three different junctures in the event; laps 4-7, lap 10, and most importantly the 12th and final circuit as he crossed the finish line first by a mere 0.059 seconds in the After Hours Bail Bonds-sponsored #14. Ray Gregory, who has also competed in several divisions as well, was third. New York's David Dropsho was fourth in his first ever appearance. Bill Fuchs completed the top five. Thanks to BCT Construction, an additional $200 was split amongst positions 2-10. Heat winners were Gregory and Jacob Moon. Next Saturday night (August 1) is the 18th annual "Lou Blaney Memorial" featuring the Hovis Auto & Truck Supply "410" Sprint Cars for $12,000 to-win/$1,200 to-start and the BRP Modified Tour for $2,500 to-win on Ryan Blaney Family Foundation and Bala Management Night. - Andrews gets last lap Fremont win; Sebetto scores 5th 305 victory; Sorg tames trucks
FREMONT, Ohio - Chris Andrews and Gauge Garcia traded sliders the final two laps and got together coming for the checkers at Fremont Speedway Fueled by the FriendShip Kitchen Saturday, July 25 with Garcia flipping off turn four and Andrews going on to score the 410 sprint feature win on Crown Battery Night. For Andrews it was nearly the exact opposite of the previous night at Attica Raceway Park where he and Bryce Lucius traded sliders late in the race, getting together with Lucius going on to the win. Garcia, from Lemoore, California, led the first 29 of the 30 lap Fort Ball Pizza Palace 410 Sprint A-main before the exciting last lap. Darin Naida, Cap Henry, Trey Jacobs and Kalib Henry rounded out the top five. It was Andrews' 12th career win at Fremont Speedway. "That was kind of the opposite of my driving style lately. I finally got this thing to go the way I wanted it to. Last night was a bummer…last night hurt pretty bad. I thought we had that one wrapped up. We are finally getting this car good and the Kistler motor is ripping, the shocks are good, my entire crew is working hard…it's just good," said Andrews beside his Ohio Truck Sales, Fleet Financial, Real American Beer, Whiteford Kenworth, Erie Waste, Cintas, Fremont NAPA, Toledo Spring, TruckParts4U.com backed #15C. Andrews went from fourth to second after a caution with just five laps to go. "I was screwing around on the bottom and I was like 'screw it, we're going to pull back and send it' and we sent it. I'm glad I did it at the end. There was no way I could run 30 laps like that. Gauge put on a hell of a race. If he keeps driving like that he's going to win a lot of races," added Andrews. Cap Henry's third place finish will keep him atop the All Pro Aluminum Cylinder Heads/Kistler Racing Products Attica Fremont Championship Series presented by the Baumann Auto Group point standings. Paul Weaver led the first four laps of the Fremont Federal Credit Union 305 feature before fifth place starter Bryan Sebetto took over. Sebetto built a nearly 3.5 second lead before a caution on lap 14. But he pulled away on the restart while the action behind him involving Weaver, Jimmy McGrath, Brenden Torok and Jamie Miller was hot and heavy. The last five laps Sebetto struggled to find his footing and Weaver closed, but was unable to get closer than a couple of car lengths at the checkers. Sebetto's fifth win of the year at Fremont came over Weaver, Miller, Torok and Dustin Dinan. It was a sweep of the Real Geese Decoys/Real Capz Attica Fremont Championship Series events for the weekend as Sebetto scored the win Friday at Attica. He now has eight total wins in 2026. It was his 33rd career win at Fremont placing him 16th on the track's all-time win list. "I was getting pretty bad there toward the end of the race especially in three and four. I had to have the wing back so far to get off of two that it made me really tight on entry to three and I couldn't quite figure out how to enter one. I felt like I made really bad laps the last five laps. Happy birthday to Tony Myers, crew chief…a nice weekend sweep for all his hard work. Thanks to everyone that puts work into this car. I can't thank Bobby Clark enough for this opportunity," said Sebetto beside his Coastal Cabinet and Flooring, Fremont Fence, Shelluke's Bar, Level Performance, Level Utilities, Nagy Equipment, Dockside Barbershop, Riehl Custom Fabrication, Cutting Edge Counter Tops, Schade Builder Supply, BSE Fabrication, Overwatch Precision, BRS, Race Ready Apparel, Recker Team Howard Hanna Real Estate backed #8. Dustin Keegan led the first two laps of the Burmeister Trophy Dirt Truck A-main before Keith Sorg took over. Sorg then battle with Shawn Valenti over the next seven laps with Valenti taking the lead on lap 11 and Sorg fighting back to the front a lap later. Sorg drove to his second win of the year at Fremont and the 11th of his career at the track over Steve Miller, Kent Brewer, Dave Golembiewski and Keegan. "The starter went out and it died on the last lap. This sure beats the last time out when we caught on fire," said Sorg beside his Fremont Fence, M&L Excavating, West End Tire, Bobby Clark Racing, Advanced Auto, Ryan Property Services, Precision Monument, Great Lakes Garage Doors, Level Performance backed #4s. - Speedweek finale at Grays Harbor Raceway canceled due to weather
Elma, CA…The scheduled SCCT Speedweek finale for tomorrow at Grays Harbor Raceway in Elma has been canceled due to the impending wet weather. With an unfavorable forecast the decision was made by both SCCT and Grays Harbor Raceway to call off tomorrow's event. Western Sprint Tour Speedweek will now conclude tonight at Skagit Speedway. Sprint Car Challenge Tour President Scott Russell commented on the cancellation: "The forecast right now is not optimal and rather than have teams sit around all day tomorrow and have a chance at a rain out, both SCCT and Grays Harbor Raceway mutually decided it was in the best interest to cancel the event. We look forward to finishing off Speedweek tonight at Skagit and returning to Elma next season."
- Duane Howard wins milestone 1000th Modified feature at Big Diamond Speedway
(Minersville, PA 7-24-26) Racing history was made Friday evening at Big Diamond Speedway on Durdach Brothers Night as the 1000th feature for the headline BQ Concrete 358 Modified division was run and it seemed only fitting that etching his name into the record books as the winner of the milestone event was none other than Oley's Duane Howard. A true master and legend of the 3/8-mile dirt oval, in classic Howard style he wasted little time coming from sixth starting spot and then seizing the lead from Alan Rudalavage in a mere four laps. Afterwards it was his race to command which he did with perfect precision driving. "I had a text this week from Diamond Dog (Brad Keitsock) about this race and it really stuck in my head and it's something I really wanted, 1000 wins means a lot," said Howard who notched his 95th career Big Diamond victory. "I've been racing here a long time, and I started my career here and this is really big for me to get the 1000th win and to still be able to do this at a high level and thanks to the Butch Getz (car owner) crew and everyone who helps out on this car. I was really on my game tonight and I really wanted this one." With the lead firmly in his grasp Howard reeled off steady, consistent laps with no signs of backing down, negotiating lapped traffic with pinpoint accuracy and also resisting a blitz coming from one very fast-moving Billy Pauch Jr., as well as point leader Louden Reimert. Pauch was making an all-out effort to get around Howard and was close to doing so a few times, including some late race restarts. But Howard was not about to let this sought-after victory slip from his hands. In the closing laps he was ahead just enough to secure the verdict and would leave Pauch to deal with Reimert as that pair battle for the runner-up spot. "When I saw Billy (Pauch) line up next to me on that restart I knew I was committed to the top and I wasn't going to change my lane. Billy is always good here but I figured if I held my lane and didn't make a mistake, I should be able to get off the corner ahead of him and you just couldn't make a slip-up once you're out in front," said Howard. "Tonight we had a rocket ship, and this car was dialed in. Butch made all the right changes, and we are back to basics, and I just feel so comfortable in this car," he continued. "The last two weeks this track has been phenomenal and that's exactly what you want, a little black in the middle that you can race there if you have a really good car and you want a little moisture on the bottom which we had and you have something to lean on the top." Mike Lisowski and Jared Umbenhauer rounded out the top five. Fittingly, Howard also paid tribute to Theresa Rogers, matriarch of the Rogers family at Grandview Speedway who had recently passed away. "Our hearts are thinking about the Rogers family, and we had a lot of years and good times with Theresa and the whole family. I know the management here are good friends with the Rogers and our thoughts and prayers are with them." In the USS Achey Inc. 602 Crate Sportsman feature Macungie's Nate Brinker moved to the lead on lap nine of 20 and once in front was on his way to his third win of the season. But getting to the lead took some doing for Brinker. Early leader Matt Martino was confined in a torrid battle with Zach Steffey along with Brinker as the trio ran exceedingly close together. Following a lap five restart Steffey was able to snag the lead and would take Brinker along with him. Steffey and Brinker would then lock horns as they battled closely for the top spot. While Steffey worked the high lane Brinker did his bidding from the inside. After several thrilling laps in that mode Brinker made his race winning pass from the low side while exiting turn two on lap eight and then remained firmly in control from there. Meanwhile Steffey, Martino and Bryce Bashore clashed in a fierce battle for second over the second half of the race. The trio dazzled the crowd with their tight formation lap after lap. After what was clearly an exhausting effort, Bayshore would take the runner-up spot four laps from the finish and although he made a charge at Brinker, had to settle for his third runner-up in just six starts. Steffey held on for third while late in the going one very impressive moving Dylan Hoch powered his way to fourth with point leader Ryan Graver completing the top five. Joey Brennan of Minersville scored his third Red White and Blue Autos Inc. Roadrunners feature of the year, and it was quite a bit of hard-fought determination in doing so. Brennan started seventh but was twice caught up in dustups and one of those times having to make a pit stop which certainly dimmed his chances. But Brennan remained steadfast and resilient. The race had seen Jim Kost, Jonathan Trumbo and Jared Bassininsky share time in the lead. But by way of a late restart Brennan had found himself close to the front and on a final caution with a pair of laps to go he was now second to Bassininsky. After a close side-by-side run Brennan was able to squeeze past Bassininsky and go on the claim the very gratifying victory. The Infinite Solutions Keystone Sport Compact division was back in action this night and when Ian Whitcomb of Williamstown took the lead from Adam Kratzer with seven laps to go there would be no looking back as he would go on to record his first win of the season. Larry Eck helped pad his point lead with a hard-fought second, having to fend off Bruce Long in obtaining second place. Modified feature finish (25 laps): 1. Duane Howard, 2. Billy Pauch Jr., 3. - Mechanical Issues Sideline Roa at Perris; Calistoga Plans in September
Cypress, CA — July 22, 2026 — Coming off two outstanding finishes in the Avanti Windows and Doors USAC/CRA Sprint Car Series at Perris Auto Speedway, everything appeared to be going Brody Roa's way when he arrived at the track on July 11. As the saying goes, things were going well—until they weren't. The Garden Grove, California, resident had plenty of reason for optimism heading into the race. In his first USAC/CRA start of the season, he placed second in the prestigious Salute to Indy. Four weeks later, he dominated the competition and scored a runaway victory on the same half-mile clay oval. Those performances gave Roa plenty of confidence entering the July 11 race at Perris. Things got off to a strong start on the warm, humid evening. He was sixth fastest in hot laps with a best time of 17.372. On his first qualifying lap, Roa guided his brilliant green No. 91R to a time of 16.977. He was one of only three drivers to break the 17-second barrier during the session. His second lap did not go nearly as well. As Roa exited turn two, the car suddenly slowed. Rather than complete the lap, he knocked it out of gear and coasted back to the pit area. His first lap ultimately stood as the third-fastest qualifying time of the night. However, there was no time to celebrate, as the No. 91R crew immediately swarmed over the car in an attempt to determine what had gone wrong. "I got into turn one after a decent first lap in qualifying," the 2023 USAC/CRA champion said. "I got back on the throttle and it clearly had dropped a cylinder. I jumped it out of the throttle and pulled it in. Did not get to finish lap two." Back in the pits, the crew worked feverishly to diagnose the problem and pushed the car off several times in an effort to pinpoint the issue. It was eventually determined that the bolts securing the rocker arms had failed, knocking several pushrods out of position. "It took a while to find out what it was because the push rod stayed in place, but it obviously did not have the lift that it needed," Roa lamented. "We struggled to find that and finally it broke after pushing off a few times." "It ran really good, the two races we had it. It was good in hot laps and I was excited about it. Hopefully we get it back together fairly quickly. I drop it off at Shaver tomorrow morning before I go to work when they open up. We will see what they find and hopefully we will be back at Perris next month." While Roa hopes to return to Perris for the August 15 race, he also revealed that the team is targeting two races at his favorite track, Calistoga Speedway, over Labor Day weekend. "It has been a long time and that is my favorite track on the West Coast," he said of the racing facility located in Northern California's Wine Country. "It is big, and extremely fast. I like that stuff; it is just kind of my style. I am excited to get back up there. Hopefully, the engine is not hurt too bad." Roa also indicated that the team is seeking additional sponsorship support to help make the trip to Calistoga possible. "If anybody is interested, the side of the hood is wide open for a primary sponsor. They can jump on for a night or for a bunch of races. It is kind of wide open for anyone who wants to be a part of a winning race team." Roa skipped Calistoga last year because he was concerned that the Dash 12 engine he was using would not be competitive on the large, high-speed track. "It is a long drive to run with a lot of good guys with a lot of horsepower," Roa explained. "You have to run a super tall gear. What we had last year wasn't going to be good enough to go up there. I am at the point in my life with my racing and my family; I do not want to show up and not expect to win. I am excited to get up there with this thing we have this year because I think we can win." Anyone interested in joining Roa's team as a sponsor for Calistoga or any of the remaining races at Perris this season can use the contact information below. The following marketing partners have backed Roa for the 2026 campaign. - Lucius wins 410 thriller at Attica; Shiels holds off Moore for late model win; Sebetto charges to 3rd 305 victory
ATTICA, Ohio - Bryce Lucius and Chris Andrews had the big crowd on their feet at Attica Raceway Park Friday, July 24 for Fan Appreciation Night presented by Ohio Truck Sales, the Adkins Group and Wylie and Son Quarry. The pair traded sliders and banged wheels the final four laps and then Lucius had to hold off a last lap effort from Kalib Henry before securing the win, his second straight following his Brad Doty Classic victory the previous week. It was Lucius' fifth career win at Attica with Henry settling for second, Andrews, Zeth Sabo and Cap Henry (from 15th) rounding out the top five. Lucius led laps 1-25 with Andrews leading laps 26 and 27 and Lucius leading the final three circuits. "We tapped a little bit but I didn't think it was that bad. I don't have a mirror…we're going for the win and we're going to race out guts out. It's pretty cool to go back to back with everybody that's new on the race car. I can't thank Landon, my dad, Roman, my mom enough," said Lucius beside his Big Red Truck Wash, Allen Excavating, BNE Barbecue, L&L Land Solutions, J Badger HVAC, Truck Worx of Ohio, 87/40 Suspensions, Smith Titanium backed #32. Cap Henry's charge from 15th to fifth secures his lead in the All Pro Aluminum Cylinder Heads/Kistler Racing Products Attica Fremont Championship Series presented by the Baumann Auto Group standings. Five time Attica Raceway Park champion in the Dirt Nerds Podcast Powered by Propane UMP Late Model division Devin Shiels and two time and defending track champion Kyle Moore battled each other heard over the last six laps. The duo traded sliders for the last hand full of laps before Shiels secured his third win of the year at Attica over Moore, Matt Irey, Ryan Missler and Todd Brennan. It was Shiels 24th career win at Attica, putting him fourth on the division's all-time win list. " I'm wore out. I don't breath that hard playing basketball. That was the old cushion of the old days at Attica and there's no one better than Kyle doing it and I knew he was going to throw some haymakers at me," said Shiels beside his Magic Fountain Auto Wash, Rally's Hamburgers, Dundee Products, Banshee Graphics, Salenbein Trucking & Excavating; Hodges Multi Trade Services, Dirt Nerds Podcast backed #51. Due to the Attica challenge rule, Bryan Sebetto had to start eighth in the Fremont Fence 305 Sprint A-main but it didn't take him long to get to the front. Six time Attica champion Paul Weaver led the first 12 laps of the 25-lap affair before Sebetto took the lead. Weaver stayed close until lap 19 when a lapped car spun and collected Weaver sending him flipping and ending his night. Sebetto drove away for his third win of the year at Attica and his seventh overall victory of 2026 (4 at Fremont Speedway). It is his 20th career 305 victory at the track, placing him seventh on the all-time win list for the division. Rounding out the top five were Ben Watson, Seth Schneider, Dustin Dinan and Jimmy McGrath. Sebetto builds on his lead in the Real Geese Decoys/Real Capz Attica Fremont Championship Series standings. - Dietz Breaks Through For Williams Grove Sprint Win - Eli Tuckey Scores For First Time In 358s
Mechanicsburg - The winningest sprint car driver in the nation, Chase Dietz finally broke through for his first Williams Grove Speedway sprint car win of the season on Friday night, worth $6,000. The victory was his 17th overall of the year aboard the John Stehman owned No. 23 and the sixth of his career at Williams Grove. In the 20-lap 358 sprint main, Eli Tuckey took the victory for the first checkered flag of his career at the oval. Troy Wagaman Jr. and Dietz started on the front row of the 25-lap 410 sprint feature and Wagaman blasted into the lead when action began as Dietz fell backward and victim to Anthony Macri on the opening lap. Wagaman entered the rear of the field on lap eight just as Dietz was able to muscle high around Macri in the third and fourth turns. The move was pivotal for Dietz who could now focus on running down Wagaman with his stiffest competition behind him. The pace was slowed on lap 11 for a spun Freddie Rahmer who had been running in the ninth spot. The restart saw Dietz spring to life as he followed Wagaman for just one more lap before blasting deep into the third turn and across the bottom of the track to take control. The York driver would then go unheeded to his elusive first 2026 Grove win by 4.414 seconds. Wagaman rode home second followed by a surging Danny Dietrich, Anthony Macri and Austin Bishop. Sixth through 10th went to Justin Whittall, Logan Rumsey, Lance Dewease, Dylan Norris and Ryan Smith. Heats went to Rumsey, Dietz and Bishop. Rumsey set fast time with a lap of 16.715 seconds. Eli Tuckey of Biglerville lost the lead in the 358 sprint main and then reclaimed the top spot to get his first ever win at Williams Grove. Tuckey started on the pole and was chased early by a rapid running PJ Reutimann. However Reutimann lost the handle on his mount on the second lap, surrendering second to Austin Reed. Reed would prove a great challenge to Tuckey and drove by for the lead on the third circuit. However Tuckey was far from happy to settle for second and by lap five he was ready to again take control. Reed then stuck with Tuckey in an effort to again race out front however Tuckey would slowly pull away to get the win by 2.443 seconds. Chase Gutshall was third followed by Derek Locke and Adam Carberry. Sixth through 10th went to Cody Fletcher, Brock Hammaker, Seth Schnoke, Matt Findley and Tim Wagaman II.. Heats went to Tuckey, Gutshall and Schnoke. Feature Finishes 7/24/26 410 Sprints, 25 Laps: 1. Chase Dietz, 2. Troy Wagaman Jr., 3. Danny Dietrich, 4. Anthony Macri, 5. Austin Bishop, 6. - SCCT Speedweek tilt at Cottage Grove Speedway goes to Landon Brooks
Cottage Grove, CA…Landon Brooks had been a mark of consistency over the last handful of days and on Wednesday night the Yuba City driver put it all together, capturing Round 5 of SCCT Western Sprint Tour Speedweek at Cottage Grove Speedway. Brooks piloted the Hamilton Racing with Tiner-Hirst Ent. No. 21L to his second career Elk Grove Ford Sprint Car Challenge triumph during the final Oregon leg of Speedweek. The 30-lap Shop Kyle Larson feature began with High Sierra Industries Dash winner Kinzer Cox jumping into the lead following a red flag on the initial start for Levi Klatt and Cole Croft. Both drivers were okay but done for the evening. The Cottage Grove Speedway showcased multiple lines for drivers to utilize in the main event and kept things entertaining all race long. Landon Brooks stalked Cox over the early laps and pounced with six circuits complete to grab the point. After that it was all Brooks up front as he pulled away from the pack by a sizeable advantage and went on to accept the Ed Entz checkered flag. It was his second Elk Grove Ford SCCT win of the year, going along with his triumph during the season opener at Placerville in April. Current Sprint Car Challenge Tour point leader Justyn Cox gained speed as the race wore on, moving into third on lap 25 and then second just prior to the conclusion. It marked his second straight runner up finish during Speedweek aboard the Josh Bates Racing No. 42X mount. Last year's Speedweek runner up Kinzer Cox rounded out the podium after a solid night behind the wheel of the Owen Boys Racing No. 40 Sprinter. Western Sprint Tour Speedweek point leader Colby Copeland crossed the stripe in fourth, while Modesto's Tony Gomes completed the top five. Filling out the top 10 were Braden Chiaramonte, Camden Robustelli, Seth Standley, Levi Hillier and Pit Stop USA Hard Charger Dawson Hammes, who started from 24th in the feature. Heat race wins presented by Tiner-Hirst Ent., BR Motorsports, King Racing Products and A.R.T. Speed Equipment went to Kyle Alberding, Landon Brooks and Tony Gomes. Camden Robustelli tallied the Sierra Foothills Wine Services Fast Time Award with a lap of 11.261 around the quarter mile. SCCT Western Sprint Tour Speedweek continues this Friday with opening night of the Fred Brownfield 360 Nationals presented by Bob's Burgers & Brew at Skagit Speedway.
